The beautiful Izzy Dix

The beautiful Izzy Dix

Last month, a very close family friend of ours, 14-year-old Devon schoolgirl, Izzy Dix, took her own life due to bullying, both at school and online.

Hopefully, many of you have already seen the anti-bullying campaign that we have started in Izzy’s name to try to change things for the better for other young people undergoing bullying. If you haven’t, you can read more about it here.

We have started a petition on to lobby the government to try to shut down the social media site,, which allows anonymous users to very easily spread messages of hate which are not monitored and very difficult to report and/or delete. The vast majority of users of this site are teenagers, and as of October 2013, 11 young people have committed suicide after being bullied on this site in just over a year.

This has got to stop.

But it’s not all about The petition lists 8 points where we would like to see real change to the way bullying is dealt with in society. If you haven’t already, please take a look at them, and while you’re there, it would be great if you could sign the petition too.

A lovely girl who went to Izzy’s school called Codie Costello, has posted this video on YouTube and it would be great if you could watch this as it explains the story beautifully.

Please help Izzy to change the world.

Thanks so much.

Maddie xoxo

    • Thanks so much for your support on this Aly. It really is so tragic that this is happening and something must be done to stop it now! Let me know if you’d like me to email you a petition form, which allows you to collect signatures from around your local community and then input the names/towns/email addresses into the online petition. We’re after all the help we can get at the moment!!!! Maddie xoxo
