To commemorate this grand occasion, I’m giving away something synonymous with Royal Births – china!

That’s right, the lovely people at Sophie Allport have given me a fine bone china mug to give away on Gammon & Chips, celebrating the safe arrival of HRH Prince George of Cambridge. Sophie has written a personal message in her lovely twirly handwriting on the inside rim of the mug now that Prince George Alexander Louis Mountbatten-Windsor has been formally named.

The Royal Baby mug is dishwasher and microwave safe and comes in a gift box. It’s currently being hand decorated and finished in Stoke on Trent and will be ready for delivery in ten days’ time. How’s that for speedy?!

  1. I am happy that our little prince was born healthy and I love his name…but I was secretly hoping for a little princess called Diana!

  2. I have sons and Grandsons so I know how lovely it is to have little boys….I really didn’t mind, boy or girl. Just a healthy baby to be welcomed by these wonderfully loving and in love people..

  3. I am really happy that it was a little boy but had wrongly thought she was having a little girl. I had expected them to name him Charles (or Elizabeth if a girl) but would have liked them to break the mould and go for something a little less Royal, e.g. Adam,

    • I fully agree!, lovely baby but don’t like George, Alexander is my baby dolls name!! ha ha and I would consider it when I adopt!. Love Alexander!.

  4. I thought a girl and she was to be called charlotte but I am just pleased George has arrived and he is healthy

  5. I thought they might of brought Diana into the name even if they managed to put a twist on it to make a boys name. How ever I think Lady Diana will be looking down and be very proud.

  6. I was right from when she announced she was pregnant – I said a boy named George! Think I may be a bit psychic! He is a very cute baby (they all are) but I especially loved the little wave he gave!

  7. I really did think it was going to be a girl & wanted the name Charlotte, I’m chuffed that he is a boy too & all healthy. Thats really the main thing when any baby is born Royal or not.

  8. I really thought it would be a girl and called either Diana or Frances, maybe the next one!

  9. I was hoping for a little girl called Diana after Williams Mother. I think they could have picked a nicer name than George for a boy!!

    • I was hoping for Spencer too – It is Gammon’s middle name, as my maiden name was Spence.

  10. I THOUGHT A BOY CALLED HARRISON , WELL I WAS 50 PERCENT RIGHT . THANKS FOR THE CHANCE TO WIN THIS LOVELY PRIZE X

  11. I am pleased that the prince is born and seems healthy. Though I wish all other babies could be as well cared for and supported as Prince George is, and is likely to be in the future. George is a nice name, majority of public seemed in favour of it, prior to announcement of his name. Nice that they have called him after his great-grandfather. Due to the recent changes in ascending to the throne :- Gender Equality. I would like the future to be brighter, Kate and William could have a baby girl, she would have a status befitting her position and connections, rather than mainly based on her gender. British Royalty would seem more modern. Whilst it may support and encourage an equal, or more equal status for all females generally. If Kate and William have more children, I would like them to have a daughter and name her Victoria Louisa. As she would have brought a victory for her people, and could support her brother in preparing for his honoured position.

  12. My 3 month old grandson would love these his dad is in the Navy and would go with his boat themed bedroom

  13. I almost named my son George Alexander as it was my great grandfathers name and my grandpa was Alexander George. Great minds think alike. William, our son, will be a year old on August 12.

    • Wow Niamh – you definitely seem to be tuned in to the Royals! An actual William and an almost George Alexander! My son, Callum (Gammon) was born on August 11. Here’s to Leos, hey?!

  14. I thought it would be a boy and love his given name George, may he have a happy and healthy life.

  15. Ok so we know its a boy but I was hoping it was girl Lol… probably because I have 2 boys? But Im still happy its a boy too. I thought he was going to be called Edward… wrong on all parts!

  16. I was hoping Kate and William would have a little girl and call it Victoria (very Royal but also the name of my youngest). Anyway I am happy that the baby is a healthy little boy and wish Kate and William all the best.

  17. I was hoping for a girl, because now they have changed the rules she would have been the first queen to be born the first child, and not have to take a back seat behind the biys

    • I’m with you on that one Teresa. I was hoping this girl would truly make history, but not to be.

  18. I secretly hoped for a girl! to make history being the next reigning monarch regardless of Sex.. I thought she may of been an Elizabeth :) .

  19. I always hoped the new Prince would be named George and would have Louis in his name after Lord Louis Mountbatten.

  20. Thought something modern would have been good; or Micheal (after Kate’s Father) as everyone was saying carole (?) after her mother

  21. I had been guessing a boy called George, if it had been a girl Victoria or Alexandra would have been lovely x
